Epazote is a newly opened Mexican born family-owned restaurant serving authentic Mexican dishes with a beautiful presentation and welcoming comfortable ambiance.

Fresh Margaritas, 100% Mexican wines from Baja California, unique selection of Mexican beers, and homemade everything (like tortilla chips, salsas, salsas picantes, moles, and much more). The Carrasco-Mendez Family opened Epazote to provide you with high quality taste of Mexico right here in Fort Lauderdale.

 

A border sign has been uniquely painted on the Exit door to add the ambiance of customers being in Mexico when they are inside. Once you leave the restaurant, you cross the border and enter USA.


About Chef Hugo

Hugo is a skilled chef with over 13 years of culinary experience. He attended gastronomy university in Mexico City, Mexico then moved to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to pursue an internship and further enhance his career.

In Cabo, he started gaining experience in small restaurants soon after challenged himself to working in upscale restaurants and fine dining. Through networking with restaurant clients and tourists, he became a private chef for families and tourists in private villas.

Every family he attended left impressed with Hugo’s culinary skills and adored his personality and passion for cooking. After recieving an abundance of encouragement to open his own well-deserved restaurant, his wife Simonne motivated him to make this dream a reality. Simonne’s parents, Karen and Roberto years of business experience, so the four of them partnered up to open Epazote and share their culture & Chef Hugo’s talent with the world.
