A Meal That Matters: The Beginning of a New Annual Tradition at Epazote
At Epazote Mexican Restaurant, we've always believed that a restaurant should be more than just a place to enjoy great food, it should be a place where community comes together.
That belief inspired us to create A Meal That Matters, a new annual fundraising dinner dedicated to giving back to organizations making a meaningful impact in South Florida.
We're proud to share that our very first event was a tremendous success.
A Night of Purpose
This year's A Meal That Matters benefited Voices for Children of Broward County, an incredible organization that supports children in foster care by providing advocacy, resources, and opportunities that help change lives.
For one special evening, Chef Hugo created an exclusive Italian-Mexican fusion menu designed specifically for the event. Friends, families, and neighbors gathered around our tables knowing that every meal served would help support a greater cause.
It was a powerful reminder that food has an incredible way of bringing people together—not just to celebrate, but to create positive change.
Together, We Made a Difference
Thanks to the generosity of our guests and community, we were able to donate $500 from the evening's proceeds to Voices for Children of Broward County, along with a truck full of donated items for children in foster care.
Every reservation, every donation, and every person who attended helped make this evening a success.
To everyone who joined us, thank you for believing in our mission and proving that when a community comes together, even one evening can make a lasting impact.

We're excited to announce that this will become an annual Epazote tradition, with each year's event benefiting a different local nonprofit organization that is making a meaningful impact in our community.
Our hope is that every year, our guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable dining experience while knowing they're helping make South Florida a better place.
